“Ces deux concertos de J.Haydn sont de grands classiques du répertoire pour violoncelle. Pour moi, ils font parti de ces pièces qui accompagnent un violoncelliste dans les différentesétapes et moments de sa vie . J’ai eu la chance et le plaisir de les jouer plusieurs fois avec orchestre. C’est une musique solaire qui me parle beaucoup.”

« Each new release of the pianist is an event. On the one hand because this rare bird records little, but above all because each of its albums is a success. » — Télérama
Born in 1958 in Wichita in the United States the path that leads the pianist Ronnie Lynn Patterson from his native state of Mississippi to Paris does like no other. In the crucible of various influences from on both sides of the Atlantic, his playing and his personality are the unique reflection of a fabulous contemporary multiculturalism and a unusual openness.
« A simplicity, a certain veiled beauty, an unfeigned candor remain after listening to this Freedom Fighters. » — by J. Gros-Burdet in Citizenjazz 03/11/2018
His childhood is rocked by classical music transmitted by his mother, amateur pianist, who encouraged him to pursue drums studies. He emerges as a teenager with a first snare prize in the Mississippi All State Symphony Orchestra.
Jazz comes to him from his father, a military medic, notably with Kind of Blue by Miles Davis that he listens to every Christmas Eve, just like the rock that he discovered through Carlos Santana and Jimi Hendrix, rhythm & blues from The Isley Brothers, Gladys Knight and The Pips, The Stylistics or The Spinners without forgetting the soul of Al Green or Curtis Mayfield. All this before he was one day overwhelmed by listening to a record with Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner and Keith Jarret. It's here a real musical shock that pushes him to learn in a self-taught way, definitive and immediate the piano. After a few years in Canada, Ronnie Lynn Patterson arrived in Paris in 1991. Times are hard and a life of struggle Start then. But music remains her eternal guide to light. He draws on the compositions of Sergei Rachmaninoff and Morton Feldman needed the hope and found the strength to pull through.
